CEO of RBWH - Louise Atherton
“We find a job for the person, not a person for the job.”
who she is
Louise spent 30 years working in the criminal sector and being around inmates before she began, eventually working as prison governor which shows her keen understanding in this sector. Rebuild with hope has successfully been open since 2022 and has grown at a rapid rate in the process and has expanded a lot since opening. Her biggest achievement is opening the biggest charity shop in the UK. Louise started the foundation with co-founder and trustee Adrian Potts.
“We employ for attitude and train for skill.”
Louise has built a large presence for the brand in the community and as a retail presence, but she focuses on the foundation side of Rebuild With Hope always bringing things back to her goals of helping people get the skills they need to get back into work.
her story
Louise, with the help of Aidrian Potts, has started a foundation that aims to bridge the gap between people leaving prison and finding work. She adamantly believes that “a job should be found for a person. not a person for a job”. With 30 years of experience in the criminal justice sector, she knows the industry well and uses this to support members of the organisation and the wider community
the foundation started with community sales that would fund charitable events and further the organisations outreach. With hard work and dedication from all members of the RBWH community, these community sales have grown to the biggest charity shop in the UK.Louise still takes a very active role in all of the work done in the RBWH organisation.
