Rebuild with Hope

Rebuild with Hope was established in 2021 to mentor and support ex-offenders post release by providing employment opportunities and wrap around support making a transition back to their communities as smooth as possible.  Although there are a number of employers willing to work with ex-offenders on release, some will not. At the Rebuild With Hope foundation we aim to break down these stigmas and ensure everyone, from ex offender to anyone facing long term unemployment can receive the necessary training and get back into work.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve meaningful and sustainable employment, regardless of the challenges they face. We are here to support individuals dealing with multiple barriers—whether those barriers stem from a lack of qualifications, limited work experience, health issues, disabilities, or personal circumstances like a history of offending or long-term unemployment. By providing tailored training, practical support, and opportunities for growth, we empower people to rebuild confidence, gain skills, and navigate a path toward independence and success in the workplace. This mission drives everything we do, as we strive to create lasting change and a stronger, more inclusive community.

oUR buSINESS MODEL

We have set up a community warehouse where we undertake recycle and upcycling of high-quality high-street products, and providing warehousing, logistics, packing and retail training and employment opportunities for participants.

The business model for Rebuild with Hope is based on replicating and expanding the successful social-impact model delivered by Remade with Hope in custody, but in a community setting.

Remade with Hope who have been running industrial workshops inside 5 prisons across the North West working with serving prisoners to improve self esteem and personal responsibility through the routine of purposeful activity as well as enhancing their post-release employability by learning new skills.

We have opened three outlets one in Earlestown, one in Wigan and one in Kirkham and we also hold community sales in disadvantaged communities across the North West offering quality clothing and household goods at a significant reduced cost to local families and residents who are living in poverty or facing hardship.

This group of people often returns to some of the most deprived local communities, carrying the weight of immense challenges as they work to rebuild their lives. They frequently face harsh realities, living on the fringes of society due to deeply ingrained stigma, a lack of opportunities to develop skills, and the pervasive impacts of poverty. For many, these struggles are compounded by complex health conditions and mental health issues that make reintegration even more difficult.

a reason to help

Rebuild with Hope provide a progression route and a seamless transition into the community, offering the opportunity of continuity of training and employment on release, alongside sustained mentoring and wrap-around support for individuals for at least 12 months post release to help keep them on track. We provide a safety net for individuals when it is needed the most, building trusted relationships and helping to prevent them from reoffending and returning to prison.
